Roger C. Coriell, Sr., 82
Roger C. Coriell, Sr., 82, of Minford, passed away Wednesday, June 22, 2016 at his residence. Born May 27, 1934 in Portsmouth, Ohio, a son of the late Raymond and Ethel (Turner) Coriell, he was a graduate of Minford High School Class of 1952, a masonry contractor, a member of St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church, and a U.S. Army Veteran. He is survived by four sons, Roger (Cindy) Coriell, Jr. of Portsmouth, Raymond (Susan) Coriell of Minford, Randall (Jennifer) Coriell of Portsmouth, Robert (Jodi) Coriell of Portsmouth; twelve grandchildren, Jeb (Rachel) Coriell, Lyndsey (Joe) Saltsman, Lauren Coriell, Evan Coriell, Hunter Harrell, Cole Harrell, Daryhl (Brady) Pisano, Ciara Coriell, Casey Coriell, Brea Coriell, Tori Coriell, Miranda Call; five great grandchildren, Tate Coriell, Talen Coriell, Rylee Coriell, Reyse Saltsman, Emerson Pisano; four brothers, Richard Coriell, Steve Coriell, John Coriell, Kenneth Coriell, and four sisters, Carolyn Wilcox, Diane Walker, Connie Brisker, and Mona Rupp. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife on March 11, 2009, Julia “Judy” (Miller) Coriell, whom he married on August 1, 1959; a brother, Ronald Coriell, and two sisters, Pat Laudermilk and Joyce Harper.
Mass and Christian burial will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, June 25, 2016 at St. Peter in Chains Catholic Church in Wheelersburg with Father Joe Yokum and Deacon Chris Varacalli officiating. Burial will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford on Friday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. with a Wake Service at 8:00 p.m. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
