Nancy J. Buckle, 83
Nancy Jane Buckle, 83 of Minford passed away Saturday, November 11, 2017 at Minford Retirement Center in Minford. Born February 1, 1934 in Portsmouth, a daughter of the late Joseph Henry and Nannie Gertrude Ravencraft Harris, she was a 1952 graduate of Valley High School and a homemaker. She was a member of Lucasville Chapter No. 495 Order of the Eastern Star and a lifetime member of Shawnee Kookin Kampers #194 of the National Kamping Travelers. She is survived by three sons, Talmadge “Butch” (Sheryl) Buckle of Minford, Doug (Lisa) Buckle of Lucasville, Steve (Tonya) Buckle of Minford; 8 grandchildren, Brandy Roberson, Chris Buckle, Brian Buckle, Tad (Ashley) Buckle, Megan Berry, Brandon Buckle, Allison Buckle and Nick Mossbarger; 10 great grandchildren; two brothers, Charles (Emilie) Harris of Lucasville; Wayne (Phyllis) Harris of Minford, and two sisters, Shirley Fink of New Boston and Deenie (Don) Compton of Clarktown. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Talmadge Edward “Buck” Buckle on September 8, 2001, and two brothers, Eugene Harris and Ronald Harris.The family would like to thank Mitford Retirement Center for their care and kindness.
Funeral services will be conducted 11:00 a.m. Thursday, November 16, 2017 at Rubyville Community Church with Pastor Frank Fenton and Pastor Calvin Ray Evans officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Burial Park in Wheelersburg. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Wednesday and one hour prior to the service at the church on Thursday. An Eastern Star service will be conducted at 7:00 p.m. Wednesday by Lucasville Chapter No. 495 Order of the Eastern Star. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
