Wes is my wife’s first cousin, but he quickly became my first cousin.he was the first one to except me into the family with open arms. Even when he did not even know me. He and I shared a child like temperament. He was always trying to get me to do things I know I shouldn’t. Like fire off bottle rockets that eventually put a hole in his house’s siding. Or get me to fly his new remote control helicopter which I crashed. Or have me pull up his motor in his boat which I didn’t and it caused major damage. Every time I felt bad and I offered to pay but he insisted that everything was good! I was always worried what he would get me into next! Glad I never took his offer to ride his motorcycle! But we always had a blast! He was always such a good Dad to Wesley and always included him in everything that he did. He loved him so much.Lots of great memories at Myrtle Beach! Wes, I have great memories with you! Can’t wait to see you in heaven so we can cause more innocent mischief! Love you Brother! I am privileged to be apart of the Newsom family and Love you all!

Wes was a wonderful person, his smile could light up a room, his laughter was contagious, his eyes as blue as the sky. The thing that most people didn’t know was how kind hearted and sensitive he was, he truly had a heart of gold. Caring, affectionate, romantic, always doing things to show me how much he loved me. We did everything together. I will miss him more than words can describe. When he died my heart was torn in two, one side filled with heartache, the other he took with him. He was a very special man and the love of my life. I’m proud to be his wife. Until we meet again.
