Carolyn Ann Dever, 73
Carolyn Ann Dever, 73, of Wheelersburg, passed away Monday, August 10, 2015 in Portsmouth. Born September 29, 1941, in Tuttleville, Ohio, a daughter of the late Bennett Holmes Kayser and Maxine A. (Buckle) Kayser Turner. She attended Minford High School and with her husband Robert was the owner and operator of Dever’s Dogwood Boarding Kennel for nearly 40 years. To all who knew her, Carolyn was a kind and loving soul, and is now peacefully at rest in Heaven with her Lord and Savior. She is survived by a son, Gregory (Pamela) Dever; four daughters, Holly Dever Blaske, Robin (Doug) Yates, Karen Gleim , Lisa (Barry) Mazik; 10 grandchildren, Jason and Zachary Gleim, Tyler, Kyle, and Ryan Paugh, Sara and Emily Blaske, Lauren and Ellie Mazik, Cole Dever; 4 great-grandchildren, Briana and Mackenzie Gleim, Landon Paugh, Noah Paugh, and two sisters, Barbara Poole and Rebecca Eichorn. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert E. Dever, on January 2, 1995, whom she married on January 14, 1957, and a grandson, Joshua Paugh.
Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 a.m. Friday, August 14, 2015 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Bales and Fred Bales officiating. Burial will be at Sunset Memorial Gardens in Franklin Furnace. Friends may call at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday and one hour prior to the service on Friday.
