Ben R. Tolliver, 87

Ben R. Tolliver, 87, of Stockdale went home with Jesus on Saturday, January 23, 2016. Ben was born November 1, 1928 in Millstone, Kentucky. Ben retired with over 50 years from the Raceland Car Shops. He was a US Army veteran and a farmer. He was preceded in death by his parents, Ellis and Callie (Bentley) Tolliver; his wife of 55 years Verna Pearl Hunt Tolliver; four brothers and two sisters, Ray, Ottie, Allen, Willie, Aaron in infancy, and Pauline. Ben is survived by four brothers and two sisters, Donald Tolliver, Henry Tolliver, Sabrina Kiser, Coy Tolliver, Willis Tolliver and June Iery. He is also survived by seven children and their families, Ruth (Jim) Nowlin of Minford, Andrea, Heather (Cory) Bragdon and Seth; Ben (Carol) Tolliver of Grove City, Matthew, Abigail, and Natalie; Rhonda (Rich) Holloway of Stockdale, Eric, Jason and Ryan; Sam (Denise) Tolliver of Ashville, Samuel (Rebecca), Josh, Jacob and Katlyn; Lora (Barry) Rose of Minford, Casey, Brigette, and Daulton; Jim (Tisha) Tolliver of Stockdale, Blake Vanderpool, Sarah, and Garrett; Aaron of Stockdale; and one great granddaughter, Amelia.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 p.m. Monday, January 25, 2016 at Erwin-Dodson-Allen Funeral Home in Minford with Brother Terry Bryant officiating. Burial will be at Tolliver Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Monday prior to the service. Online condolences may be sent to www.edafh.com.
